New Patients

Through East Asian medical philosophy, and the theories of Intersectionality and Ecofeminism, our work gives careful consideration to the various factors that can influence people over their lifetime, including intergenerational trauma, chronic pain, environmental injustice, chemical exposure, racism, addiction, stress, and anxiety. Please read on to learn more about how your first visit will flow as a new patient at LOAM Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine.

Health, wellness, and self-care require exquisite attention, which can be challenging to sustain. There are many factors that influence our health over time including sleep, stress, pain, digestion, and  environmental degradation. We’ll talk through those aspects and how each affects your mental, physical and emotional well being.

Your tongue is a reflection of what’s going on internally, while  your pulse, felt at three main locations, is an expression of your overall health. During our time together, both will be examined to determine imbalances in the body.

Gathering data from your health assessment and tongue and pulse analysis, any imbalance detected will be explained, and a recommended plan of care will be provided.

Each treatment is designed to suit your unique health needs and goals. We strive to facilitate and fortify your inherent healing capacity.
