LOAM Celebrates 3 Years

Gratitude to the LOAM community as we enter our fourth year in practice.

Three years ago, on a Full Moon and Total Lunar Eclipse in the sign of Aquarius, I published a welcome letter on the LOAM Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine website. In this post, I answered a few frequently asked questions about our practice. Recently, I reviewed the piece and felt a sense of gratitude in knowing that we have stayed true to our North Star. Here is an excerpt from the post:

Loam is soil in harmony, containing balanced elements of sand, silt, clay, and humus. A loamy soil is the ideal environment for the nourishment of plants, people, and the planet. Our philosophy of practice is centered on the belief that a nurtured individual generates a nurtured community.

As LOAM enters into its fourth year of operation, I can honestly say that I am so proud of the work that we’ve done. Not only as a small, woman of color led business (that is surviving through a global pandemic), but also as a community. Proudly serving the Lima/Allen county area, as well as people across the world through our virtual offerings, we’ve accomplished so much over the last three years. From 2018-2021 we know that 90% of people in our community confirm that they receive exceptional and professional attention in our care. While the majority of our community members come to see us for acupuncture services, over 60% of those we work with inquire about and try other modalities including moxibustion, cupping, and virtual health consultations. Not surprisingly, our community is full of avid learners, with 98% of people interested in wellness education opportunities through our workshops and gatherings.

To celebrate this pivotal milestone, we’d love to hear from you. How has acupuncture benefited you/your life? What did you learn about yourself by receiving acupuncture? If you have experienced relief, better rest, improved mood and energy, deeper insight, or find solace in our care at LOAM Acupuncture, let us know by leaving a Google review. Your words matter, and we thank you in advance for taking the time to share your story with others.

Thank you for your trust. It is truly a gift to be your ally in healing.

Blessings to you and yours!

In solidarity,

Christian Totty
